Planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore is ahead of the pack with Polymedia’s help thanks to a unique playing card campaign to support its work with residential developers.
The Southampton-based team wanted to engage developers with insights into cost-effective ways of improving their schemes for the benefit of the environment and the people who live in them.
Working closely with the team and Barton Willmore’s talented graphic designers, Polymedia developed the PR strategy and concept of a Better Developments pack of cards divided into four suits – Lower Carbon, Beautiful Places, Healthy Communities and Creating Communities.
Each card contained an idea, fact, inspiring quote or statistic designed to inspire thought and debate. The cards were then “played”, one a day, with team members posting them on LinkedIn along with relevant links to Barton Willmore’s work, or existing developments that demonstrate the concepts involved.
There were even some Jokers in the pack – including a novel way of using the contents of dog waste bins to generate energy. And, in line with Barton Willmore’s philosophy, the Ace card in each suit was “Collaboration – When we all work together, everyone wins”.
The campaign resulted in increased engagement in LinkedIn and will also be used in future campaigns and marketing events.
