You’ve got to love local! A Polymedia campaign with Fareham Borough Council is having a huge impact in spreading the message that we should all support local shops and traders.

Live Love Local Fareham was developed by the Polymedia team in response to a brief from the council for a lively, engaging campaign to encourage local people to shop where they live in the 2021 run-up to Christmas and throughout 2022.

Results of the campaign have been staggering, so far including:

News coverage reaching 90,000 views

A huge 1824% growth in the number of accounts reached through Instagram

An 80% increase in Instagram followers

5,000 views across the Live Love Local website

Our Live Love Local Fareham website showcases everything local businesses have to offer in local high streets and shopping areas across the patch – including Fareham, Locks Heath, Park Gate, Portchester, Stubbington, Titchfield, and Warsash.

A partnership with Portsmouth daily newspaper and website The News provided a front-page launch for the campaign and regular profiles of local traders, plus competitions for readers.

Blogs about local shops, restaurants, cafes, walks, recipes and a popular roaming “Elf on the Shelf” spotted at various locations around the area kept visitors returning. A lively Instagram campaign supported the content, sending the audience reach rocketing.

Polymedia-designed Live Love Local branding featured across the patch on posters, lamppost banners, bus stops, buses and even bin lorries!

Following the campaign’s success, Polymedia continues to work with the council to support traders through the website, social media and media content.

The site, previously Christmas-themed, has now been reworked to support traders throughout the year. See it at www.livelovelocalfareham.co.uk
