Shorefield Holidays appoints Polymedia to its six tourism parks

With six holiday parks located across Hampshire and Dorset and an annual turnover of £25m, Shorefield Holidays is one of the leading holiday parks in the UK and is a voice of authority within the holiday and tourism sector.

With the growing rise of the staycation (VisitEngland found that 7.3 million people holidayed in England in the first quarter of 2016 – a 10 per cent rise compared to the same period in 2015) and the weak pound increasing the cost of holidaying abroad, Shorefield Holidays is in a prime position for future growth.

Visitor numbers are already impressive, with significantly more than 100,000 visitors staying across the business’ lodges, chalets and caravans every year.

It makes Shorefield Holidays one of the biggest holiday companies on the south coast of England – a gateway to the tourist attractions that the south coast offers, in particular the New Forest and the Jurassic coastline of Dorset.

To help drive this growth Shorefield Holidays has appointed Polymedia to implement a strategic communications campaign to build on its profile not only as a holiday destination, but to drive sales of its holiday homes – a core element of the business.

The rising popularity of families purchasing holiday homes, together with a desire to ‘make every weekend a holiday’, remains a key growth area for the business moving forward.

The contribution that Shorefield Holidays makes to the economies of Hampshire and Dorset is not to be underestimated. The business employs just under 250 members of staff and according to industry research the average spend in the community (off park) is £32 per night.  That means Shorefield guests help contribute some £27m every year to the local economy, through visits to local attractions, shops, restaurants and cafes.
