It’s always exciting when Vogue magazine features the destination you work with. Even more exciting when it’s Vogue USA, telling its readers that: ‘The New Forest is the go-to weekend getaway of stylish Londoners.’
Writer Jen Murphy described the Forest as: ‘London’s answer to the Hudson Valley, except with wild horses, ponies, and donkeys roaming the woods.’ Among the things she urged Vogue’s American readers to look out for was the New Forest Food & Drink Festival, ‘a week-long affair featuring celebrity chefs, cooking demos, wine seminars, and decadent multicourse dinners’.
During our time working with the New Forest, we’ve seen it develop as a leading short breaks destination, especially in the beautiful autumn and early winter months.
This trend was reflected again, earlier this week, in the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine, where a ‘New Forest getaway’ (and the right clothes to wear on one) was cited in their Style Notes section.
Having worked with The New Forest as a destination now for around seven years, we’re used to national and international coverage for this beautiful product – but it’s always exciting nonetheless.
