Polymedia bakes a difference as part of Help for Heroes campaign

As our national Bake for Heroes media campaign came to a close, it seemed wholly appropriate that we celebrate with cakes and other baked treats in our own Polymedia Bake Sale.

Polymedia had been working with the Help for Heroes team to promote the campaign and encourage the public to get ready, get steady and BAKE FOR HEROES. 

 

 

Local businesses, clients, suppliers and supporters turned out in force to tuck in to rainbow cakes, puff pastry treats, shortbread and cupcakes made by Polymedia staff and their families.  A giant 7′ teddy which had been based at the Polymedia offices was raffled on the day.  More than £500 in total was raised – and 500lbs in total possibly gained to boot!

 

Graeme Patfield, Director of Client Services at Polymedia, said: “This has been another successful campaign for Help for Heroes, and having put so much time and effort into encouraging others around the country to get baking for our Heroes, we just had to stage one for ourselves!

 

“We’re not particularly experienced bakers but we were pleased with the treats we produced and delighted at the support we received from businesses in the area and from clients and associates of Polymedia.

“We’re pleased that our fundraising and the support that we have given Help for Heroes throughout this campaign will help to continue the amazing work that H4H does for so many wounded, injured and sick Service Personnel, Veterans and their loved ones.”
