Our commercial property team has been instructed by Lambert Smith Hampton to implement a strategic communications campaign.
The company is looking to reinforce its position as market leaders, and has started 2017 with a string of awards and a position at the top of the transaction tables in the south.
Specialists at the firm’s offices in Southampton, Fareham and Winchester, which covers a wide area including Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, are the current holders of some of the most prestigious awards in the sector.
Lambert Smith Hampton took three top accolades at the EGi Awards, run by industry publication Estates Gazette, which placed LSH at the top of the office and industrial tables for transaction volumes.
The south coast team led EGi’s M27 Corridor League Table, securing 48 deals, and Lambert Smith Hampton was named the Most Active Agency in the region.
The office agency team transacted more deals and more floor space than all other agents in the region.
Meanwhile, of nearly 2,000,000 sq ft of industrial property transactions last year, the South Coast offices of Lambert Smith Hampton was involved in two thirds.
Last year the Business Space team of LSH was also awarded the Estates Gazette award “Most Active National Agent in Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire” for the 10th consecutive year.
Guy Jackson, a senior surveyor based in the Fareham office, received a personal accolade as he was named EGi’s top Dealmaker title for the region.
It comes after a run of successes which confirmed Lambert Smith Hampton as the leading commercial property specialist in the region.
The team in the south also enjoyed significant success in the South Coast Property Awards, where Lambert Smith Hampton won the Industrial & Logistics Property Consultancy Award in recognition of the value and volume of its transactions, and was also named the top Property Consultancy for Client Service.
Graham Holland, head of the South Coast for Lambert Smith Hampton, was awarded a lifetime achiever’s award for his outstanding contribution to the sector and promoting the south coast as a great place to do business.
The team also won Property Deal of the Year at the awards for Marchwood Industrial Estate, in Southampton.
Resurgence in speculative development
The company is benefiting from the resurgence in speculative development, acting as joint letting agent for the £30m South Central development at Test Lane, Nursling, which comprises three units that are set to bring 750 new jobs to the region, and Alpha Park, Chandlers Ford, which is under construction with completed units ready in September of this year totalling 150,000 sq ft across three units.
The company is also the agent in the launch of Dunsbury Park, a 50-acre site at Havant with outline planning consent for more than 600,000 sq ft of space for industrial and storage use and the potential to create more than 3,000 jobs.
Adrian Whitfield, Industrial & Logistics Director in the Southampton office at Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “We are delighted with these awards, which were one of the highlights of a very busy year for the team here. In fact, 2016 was one of the most successful years on record for our south coast teams.
“The awards demonstrate the calibre and commitment of our experienced consultants and further reinforce our position as a leader in commercial property in the south.”
Andy Hodgkinson, Office Agency Director for the south coast, said: “Our office sector specialists have had a hugely successful year and transacted the largest sale, the largest letting and the largest acquisition in the region.
“We have a number of large projects coming up, on both the office and industrial sides, as we enter the next financial year. In a market where clients need strong commercial advice we have proved our effectiveness.
“These awards are recognition of our leading position in the South and set the stage for an exciting 2017.”
